This week, Flavourtech exhibited at WineTech 2025, the premier event for the Australian wine industry. Running from 21-23 July at the Adelaide Convention Centre and held in conjunction with the Australian Wine Industry Technical Conference, WineTech offers a unique opportunity for visitors to connect with industry professionals and explore the latest developments firsthand.

During the show, the Flavourtech team was kept busy at Stand 1328 discussing our gentle processing technologies and expert application advice. Our new small-scale Spinning Cone Column (SCC) model was on display, allowing visitors to get an up-close look at this compact unit, which is perfect for wineries wishing to enter the growing NoLo market.

Flavourtech’s Global Sales Manager, Paul Ahn, also presented an expert Floortalk titled NoLo – The Next Generation in Low Temperature Vacuum Distillation on Wednesday, 23 July. In his presentation, Paul detailed how Flavourtech pioneered our gentle dealcoholisation technology nearly 40 years ago and why it is now considered the technology of choice for alcohol removal from wine. The SCC offers several benefits to the wine industry, particularly in terms of flavour/colour retention and the ability to process liquids containing suspended solids. It has recently received several exciting updates, including the ability to produce wine-based products at <0.05% ABV, without external flavours, and the delivery of alcohol output concentrations of >90% ABV.

Flavourtech thoroughly enjoyed their time at WineTech in 2025 and looks forward to participating again in 3 years. More details on WineTech can be found at https://winetech.com.au/, while further information on our unique technologies is located at https://flavourtech.com/.
