Flavourtech’s Work Placement Program

Through Flavourtech’s work placement program, we are proud to provide university students in our field the opportunity to gain practical work experience over their semester break. The program offers students a mix of short or long-term placement periods in the fields of Engineering and Project Management.

This Summer, we have had the pleasure of hosting three students with a common interest in enhancing their tertiary knowledge through learning about Flavourtech’s processes and applying their skills in a business environment.  Simon Leak and James Laviano collectively hold an interest in Engineering, whilst Sophia Pierotti is pursuing studies in Project Management.

Simon Leak – Bachelor of Engineering 

Simon has commenced his second year studying Engineering at the University of Sydney. Simon sought to conduct work placement at Flavourtech to obtain a greater understanding of equipment design and manufacturing.     

 

Sophia Pierotti – Bachelor of Project Management

Sophia is a second year student at the University of Sydney, studying a Bachelor of Project Management. Her goal for returning to Flavourtech over this break was to apply knowledge from her studies and develop a deeper understanding of what a career in Project Management entails.

 

James Laviano – Bachelor in Mechatronic Engineering

In 2023, James commenced a Bachelor in Mechatronic Engineering at the University of Newcastle. Leading into the third year of his degree, James returned to Flavourtech over his semester break to enhance his engineering knowledge by having the opportunity to solve real-world problems.
