16 February 2026
Flavourtech welcomed a distinguished delegation from the University of Pécs (Hungary) to our Griffith headquarters on 2nd February 2026. We were honoured to host Zoltán Madaras, Attila Szabó, István Ipacs-Szabó and Balázs Vendégh from the university’s Research Institute of Viticulture and Oenology, whose visit focused on international collaboration and innovation in zero-alcohol wine production.

The visit also marked the formal signing of a collaboration agreement between Flavourtech and the University of Pécs, establishing a shared commitment to working together to produce the highest quality Hungarian zero-alcohol wines. This partnership brings together Flavourtech’s world-leading technologies with the university’s deep expertise in viticulture and oenology.
During their time at Flavourtech, the delegation met with key personnel to lay the groundwork for future collaboration and toured our facilities, gaining insight into manufacturing, innovation and global capabilities. The group was able to see various SCCs at different stages of production, as well as visiting a selection of Griffith’s largest wineries. The delegation also spent time in Adelaide, seeing Adelaide University’s small-scale SCC100 in operation and holding in-depth discussions with the Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI).
International cooperation is a shared priority for both universities, research institutes, and Flavourtech alike. By leveraging strong industry connections and fostering open dialogue, this collaboration enables meaningful conversations that create, strengthen, and facilitate long-term relationships across borders. The next step in the collaboration will see Flavourtech attending an event that brings leading winemakers from Hungary and surrounding countries to the University of Pécs in May 2026. Further details regarding this event will be shared in the near future.
