Spare Parts and Service Coordinator – Griffith, NSW

A unique opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic Flavourtech team in Griffith as a Spare Parts and Service Coordinator. The successful applicant will play a key supporting role for providing and maintaining the sale process for spare parts and service for the After Sales Department. Duties will include:

  • Receiving and engaging after sales support inquiries from both domestic and international customers, via email, web and telephone
  • Communicating with customers on the status of their orders
  • Reading and interpreting of technical drawings
  • Providing timely and accurate advice on spare parts to customers
  • Prepare service quotations and parts lists
  • Prepare and maintain scopes of works and service contracts
  • Prepare suppliers manuals for all projects as directed
  • Liaising with suppliers and internal departments within Flavourtech

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Some knowledge on international freight and logistics, a background or interest in mechanics, engineering, manufacturing and/or technical service
  • Excellent organisational skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, with some experience with ERP software
  • A sense of urgency to achieve results and a commitment to customer satisfaction and service requirements
  • Exceptional (written and verbal) communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work unsupervised and also in a team environment

This is a permanent full-time salaried role, Monday to Friday 40 hour week. A salary package will be negotiated commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Electrician, or Apprentice in 3rd/4th year – Griffith, NSW

A unique opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic Flavourtech team in Griffith as an Electrician. Qualified candidates or apprentices in their 3rd/4th year are encouraged to apply. We are seeking a suitable person to join our electrical manufacturing team. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor the role entails various aspects of the electrical trade including:

  • Design, wiring, testing and installation on all types of switchboards
  • Planning, installation and testing of field cabling and its support on plant and equipment
  • Undertake new installations, preventative maintenance & fault finding in industrial facilities
  • Adherence to workplace, health and safety site standards
  • Supervision of apprentices and subcontractors

The successful applicant will have the following knowledge, skills and qualifications:

  • Trade certificate and current NSW electrical license. 3rd and 4th year apprentices are also encouraged to apply.
  • Good working knowledge of current electrical standards and regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical specifications and drawings
  • As a minimum have a Class ‘C’ manual drivers license
  • Current OHS White Card
  • Be committed, self motivated and able to operate without direct supervision
  • Have the ability to work in a highly motivated and empowering team environment
  • Possess experience across a broad range of systems
  • Have good computer and organisational skills
  • Have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Be willing to undertake some domestic travel

Global R&D Manager (Applications) – Griffith, NSW

Flavourtech is seeking an influential and engaging Global R&D Manager (Applications) to lead our global Application R&D programs. Based at our Head Office in Griffith, NSW, you will oversee Application Development, Pilot Plant facilities, and customer trials across the globe. Reporting to the Innovation Director, you will collaborate closely with the R&D Manager (Technology) and the Innovation Team to drive diverse and rewarding projects with leading multinational corporations, while also exploring international opportunities, all from the dynamic and vibrant city of Griffith. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the technical operation of customer trials across the globe, managing and nurturing relationships with all key stakeholders around the globe
  • Oversee the management, operation, and maintenance of Pilot Plants and Laboratories
  • Coach, develop and lead Pilot Plant staff to establish a culture that supports all aspects of operations. Lead and motivate direct reports to achieve personal development
  • Lead the Innovation Governance procedures, processes and tools ensuring they are maintained and enhanced through continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain R&D Register and prioritise projects based on company objectives
  • Contribute to new design and technology improvements for FT products
  • Develop partnerships and co-development projects with strategic suppliers or organisations with complementary capabilities for ideation and specific projects
  • Co-ordinate the technical, sales and marketing support required to introduce new products or services
  • Document all phases of research and development
  • Liaise with sales staff and customer to achieve objectives of company and customer
  • Manage customer relationships regarding trials and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading R&D or innovation projects, ideally in the food, beverage or pharmaceutical industry
  • Degree in Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with a focus on developing and motivating a technical team
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • A self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid track record of prioritization and delivery of outcomes
  • Teamwork and cooperation are vital in this role which demands an inherently positive and collaborative working relationship with teams across the business
  • Practical experience with developing and reporting metrics
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to lift and carry more than 10 kgs
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Must have current work rights in Australia
