Positions Available

November 2023

Apprentice Electrician (1st, 2nd or 3rd year) – Griffith, NSW

Flavourtech is seeking a suitable person to join our electrical manufacturing team as an Electrical Apprentice. This may be someone who has commenced Certificate II or III, or is looking to enter the industry.

As an apprentice we will support you to learn, provide practical guidance and supervision, and meet all costs associated with obtaining your qualification. You will be involved in day-to-day work with electrical systems including:
– Reviewing wiring diagrams and blueprints to determine sequences and methods of operation.
– Measuring and laying out installation points.
– Connecting wires and cables to terminal points and connectors.
– Diagnosing and testing wiring faults by using electronic equipment.
– Installing electrical switchboards.
– Testing circuits.
– Adherence to workplace, health and safety site standards.

The successful applicant will have the following knowledge, skills and qualifications:
– Completion of year 10 or equivalent.
– Class ‘C’ manual drivers license.
– Strong attention to detail.
– Ability to problem-solve.
– An eye for detail.
– A passion for fixing and repairing.
– An ability to plan.
– Be committed, self motivated and able to operate without direct supervision.
– Meet the inherent requirements for the role.
– Some hands on experience and completion of Certificate II Electrotechnology would be considered an advantage.

Draftsperson – Griffith, NSW

Flavourtech is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its Drafting team. The role entails a range of tasks including:
– Preparing plant layouts to suit customer requirements.
– Designing equipment and detailing fabrication drawings for the workshop.
– Liaise with Project Managers and trades persons.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:
– A Certificate IV Mechanical Engineering. A Diploma in Engineering would be considered an advantage.
– Sound drafting experience. Experience in mechanical drafting would be considered an advantage.
– A high level of proficiency in Autodesk’s Inventor and Excel is imperative or experience with AutoCAD and other 3D drafting software would be well regarded.
– The ability to collaborate effectively with others and well developed oral and written communication skills.
– A proven ability to problem solve and high attention to detail.
– Experience in the Food and Beverage Industry or Chemical Process Industry would be considered an advantage, but is not essential.
