Pilot Plant & Trials Technician – Griffith NSW
Are you a hands-on problem solver who wants to do more than follow instructions — you want to own them? We’re looking for a driven candidate to take real responsibility for trials and pilot plant operations at the cutting edge of food and beverage equipment manufacturing.
This isn’t a desk role. You’ll be in the plant, running trials, operating equipment, collecting data, and making operational decisions. From day one, you’ll have ownership of your work.
Based in Griffith, NSW, this is a rare chance to secure a genuinely rewarding technical role without leaving the region.
As our Pilot Plant & Trials Officer, you’ll be the person who makes things happen on the floor. Working under the direction of our R&D leadership team, you’ll plan and run customer and internal product trials, operate and maintain our Australian pilot plant and laboratory, and ensure every trial is conducted to the highest standard of safety and professionalism.
No two weeks look the same — you might be running bench-scale equipment tests one day, coordinating logistics for a customer trial the next, and maintaining our trial sample library the day after.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and run customer trials end-to-end — data collection, sample collection, and logistics
- Execute internal R&D product and technology trials as directed by R&D leadership
- Operate, maintain, and take pride in our Australian Pilot Plant and Laboratory
- Test and analyse samples using a range of bench-scale equipment
- Maintain our Trial Sample Library with accuracy and care
- Ensure all Australian trials are conducted safely, professionally, and with a clear focus on successful outcomes
ABOUT YOU
You don’t need years of experience — you need the right attitude. We’re looking for someone who:
- Has relevant experience in a food / beverage manufacturing or a relevant qualification
- Is physically fit, hands-on and practical — you’d rather be doing than watching
- Takes ownership: when something is yours, you see it through
- Has strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to data and samples
- Communicates clearly and works well within a collaborative R&D team
- Holds a current driver’s licence
WHY JOIN US
- Real responsibility from day one
- Work with innovative food & beverage processing equipment used across Australia and beyond
- A tight-knit team that values practical skills as much as academic ones
- Clear pathways to grow into senior technical or R&D roles
- Based in Griffith, NSW — a great opportunity for a local candidate to build a long-term career close to home
- Competitive salary + superannuation
